Energy Deal - residents reminded to register for the latest round by 10 October

Monday, 19 September 2016
Residents are being reminded there’s still time to see if you could make a saving on your energy bills with the latest round of Energy Deal - and the deadline to register is 10 October.

Dover District Council has launched the latest round of the scheme, and is working in partnership with Dartford, Gravesham, Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells councils to operate the popular collective switching campaign.

This follows news that Dover District Council’s Cabinet has given its approval to the first Fuel Poverty Strategy for Kent, developed in partnership with the Kent Energy Efficiency Partnership. The strategy seeks to reduce fuel poverty by coordinating the work of Kent Local Authorities and partners to help communities, and includes an action plan for the future. For more details, please see the report to Cabinet.

Cllr Nicholas Kenton, DDC Cabinet Member for Environment said: "We're very pleased to be running the next round of Energy Deal. Tackling fuel poverty is important for improving health and well-being, and we’re delighted to support the Fuel Poverty Strategy for Kent and continue to help work towards a healthier district."

For more information on Energy Deal or to register, visit the Energy Advice pages on the DDC website or leave contact details on 01304 872428.
