Drop-in sessions offer waste and recycling advice and free food waste bags

A series of free drop-in sessions will be taking place around the district to offer help and advice to residents on waste and recycling matters, and each household can pick up a free roll of compostable food waste bags.

Residents are invited to come along to the drop-in sessions to ask any questions about recycling, waste and street cleansing, including help with what can be recycled where, and how you can continue to reduce, reuse and recycle.

The dates and times of the sessions are:
  • Weds 29 June, 10.30am-12.30pm: Age Concern, Riverside Centre, Dover
  • Thurs 21 July, 11am-1pm: Sandwich Town Council, The Guildhall, Sandwich
  • Mon 25 July, 11am-1pm: Alkham Valley Garden Centre, Alkham
  • Fri 5 August, 2pm-4pm: Aylesham Health Centre, Queens Road, Aylesham
  • Tues 9 August, 10am-12 noon: Deal Library, Broad Street, Deal
  • Mon 15 August, 11am-1pm: Dover Gateway, Castle Street, Dover.
