Dover Skills & Business Expo to showcase jobs, training and local developments

Students, job seekers, small businesses, and local people with an interest in new investment and developments in the district are being encouraged to attend the free Dover Skills & Business Expo 2016 at Dover Town Hall from 9am to 3pm on Tuesday, 15 November.

The Expo will feature many of the largest employers in the Dover district who will be recruiting for a broad range of roles, including apprenticeships. There will also be a wide range of information and support for people looking to learn new skills.

A new report - Future Skills for Dover - will also be launched at the Dover Skills & Business Expo 2016 outlining key sectors for jobs growth over the next 15 years as 3,300 new jobs are created across the district by 2030.

Cllr Paul Watkins, Leader of Dover District Council, said: "This will be a unique opportunity to meet many of the district’s biggest employers. As our regeneration and investment plans start to step up a gear, new jobs are being created from construction to engineering and from science to hospitality.
