Police renew appeal following fatal collision

Wednesday, 2 December 2015
Kent police are renewing an appeal for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Dover.

Officers are keen to trace a driver who stopped at the scene and may be an important witness.

The collision occurred in Sandwich Road, Whitfield at 5pm on Sunday (29 November 2015). An 83-year-old pedestrian died after he was in collision with a car.

Inspector Martin Stevens appealed for information: "We are keen to hear from the driver of a hatchback vehicle, partial registration number GJ13. The driver is a white male in his 40's and he initially stopped at the scene. Unfortunately he left before our officers had a chance to take his details and he may be unaware that we need to speak to him. I would ask this man to contact us as soon as possible."
