Man sentenced following assault in Dover

A man from Dover has been ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work after assaulting a two people.

Joe Parr was sentenced on 2 November 2015 at Channel Magistrates' Court in Folkestone.

He pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and two counts of common assault.

On 28 September 2015 the 26-year-old, of Coombe Valley Road, assaulted a man and a woman in De Burgh Street, Dover. He also had cannabis in his possession.

Magistrates ordered Parr to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £200 compensation, a £180 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
