Appeal after alleged assault in Dover nature reserve

Officers are appealing for information after an alleged assault at a nature reserve in Dover.

It is reported that a man in his 60s was struck on the head by a walking stick in High Meadow Nature Reserve, in Harbour View Road, at around 11am, on Sunday 24 May. The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for a minor head injury.

The suspect is described as a short, white man, aged mid-50s to early 60s, bald and uses a walking stick. He was flying a remote controlled helicopter and had three dogs, believed to be two Collies and a Patterdale Terrier.

Witnesses to the incident or anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Police Sergeant Mandy Poulter at Kent Police by calling 01843 222289 and quoting ZY/15483/15.
