Three arrested after drugs warrant

Friday, 5 December 2014
Three people have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after police executed a warrant at an address in Dover.

Officers attended a property in Beaufoy Road on Wednesday (3 December 2014) and seized a significant quantity of cannabis under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

A 22-year-old man, a 17-year-old boy and a 53-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply, and have been bailed until Monday 26 January 2015 pending further enquiries.

Sergeant Carl Lidgley of the Dover community safety unit said: "One of the root causes of crime in Dover is the supply of drugs and we will continue to target those who we believe may be responsible.

"I would urge anyone with information about where drugs are being produced or sold to contact police on 101."
