Dover District Council has launched a key consultation on public playing pitches and outdoor sports facilities across the area, as they continue to work to plan for the future of the district, and your views are sought.
DDC has prepared a draft Playing Pitch and Outdoor Sports Facilities Strategy. The document looks at the range of outdoor sports facilities for community use in the area at the moment, and looks at what the demand could be in the future.
The strategy looks at provision across nine sports: football, rugby, cricket, hockey, American football, netball, tennis, bowls and athletics. The document has been drafted to plan provision, and look at demand across the district up to 2026. The strategy and consultation will help focus funding, and prioritise resources for the future.
