Local community meetings coming to a venue near you

Friday, 6 June 2014
Residents are invited to come along to find out about key local issues at two community meetings - the first is at Dover Town Council, Maison Dieu House on Wednesday 18 June on Dover Hospital, and the second is at Deal Town Council, Deal Town Hall on Thursday 19 June on Access to Health, both from 6.30pm to 9pm.

These are part of a series of community meetings taking place in Dover District in May and June under the remit of the Neighbourhood Forums. The meetings provide an opportunity for communities to find out about key issues identified by local people.

The meeting on Wednesday 18 June at Maison Dieu House in Dover will include a presentation by Sara Johnson, Senior Strategic Development Manager for the NHS on facilities at Dover Hospital.

Speakers start at 7pm. Following presentations, speakers will take part in discussions with residents at their tables, and will be available to listen to feedback and answer any questions. Light refreshments will be available. All suggestions are welcomed from local people on what they would like to discuss at future meetings.

The Dover District Neighbourhood Forums are a joint initiative and are a key element in Kent County Council and Dover District Council's commitment to involving local people in shaping the places in which they live and work.
