Local residents are invited to come along to Capel-le-Ferne Village Hall on Saturday (17 May 2014) from 9.30am to 12 noon to find out more about Healthy Living. This meeting marks the first of five community meetings taking place in the Dover District throughout May and June under the remit of the Neighbourhood Forums.
Neighbourhood Forums provide an opportunity for communities to find out a wide range of information, and the meetings this year all focus on a key issue identified by local people.
The meeting on Saturday 17 May will focus on Healthy Living and will include speakers on the subjects of dementia, smoking and Healthwatch Kent. After the presentations, speakers will take part in discussions with residents at their tables, and will be available to listen to feedback and answer any questions.
There will be light refreshments and an opportunity to meet other Forum members. All suggestions are welcomed from local people about what they would like to discuss at future meetings.
The Dover District Neighbourhood Forums are a joint initiative and are a key element in Kent County Council and Dover District Council's commitment to involving local people in shaping the places in which they live and work.
