The second incident occurred 9.43pm at the One Stop Shop, Bewsbury Cross Lane in Whitfield. Two men have entered the store with hammers and jumped over the counter smashing into the tills and stealing about £350 from the two tills as well as some alcohol.

The first man was seen to be wearing a navy blue hoody top, black tracksuit bottoms and dark/grey trainers. It is also thought he was wearing gloves.

The second man was wearing a dark/black jacket with his hood up, tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe and black/grey/white trainers. His face was covered.

Detective Inspector Bill Thornton said: "We are linking the two offences due to the similar descriptions and distinctive clothing items that appear common across the two offences. The two offences also occurred within such a short space of time so it could be the same men.

"The staff in the stores at the time were significantly threatened and intimidated but thankfully no-one was injured.

"I would urge anyone who may recognise the men in the images to contact Kent Police straight away."

Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference ZY/36340/14.
