Witness appeal after road traffic collision in Dover

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Dover this morning.

At 9.55 am today (18 September 2013) a red Daihatsu Sirion travelling down Whitfield Hill collided with a lamppost at the junction with London Road and ended up on its roof.

An 84 year-old man who was driving the vehicle was airlifted to King's College Hospital, London with life threatening injuries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, which is not believed to have involved any other people or vehicles.
