Police appeal for witnesses following armed robbery in Shepherdswell

Police investigating an armed robbery which took place at a post office in Shepherdswell are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

At around 1pm on Thursday 28 February two men entered the post office in Church Hill and threatened a female cashier with a firearm. A quantity of cash was stolen from the post office along with a number of stamps.

The suspects are described as two white men who had local accents and they were wearing dark clothing and their faces were concealed, possibly with scarves.

Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are keen to hear from anyone who may have information about the incident or the identities of the suspects.

Witnesses are urged to call Kent Police on 101 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting reference number 28-0759.
