Dover district commander to host online beat meeting

Wednesday, 3 April 2013
Dover residents will be able to put questions to the officer in charge of neighbourhood policing in their area during an online web chat.

On 4 April between 7pm and 8pm, Chief Inspector Darren Mullins will be hosting an online beat meeting, where residents can submit questions about local policing.

Chief Inspector Mullins is the District Commander for the Dover area, and leads the police officers responsible for neighbourhood policing in the area. The online meetings are an opportunity for residents to get updates on work that their local officers have been undertaking, to find out what is coming up, and to ask any questions about policing.

Chief Inspector Darren Mullins said: "Officers still regularly hold face-to-face meetings in their wards, but hosting online meetings complements these and means that residents can submit questions from the comfort of their own homes. I hope to welcome as many people as possible to the meeting and look forward to answering any queries they have."

Residents can take part in the web chat by visiting www.kent.police.uk/news/online_meetings/040413_darrenmullins.html, and can also sign up for an email reminder so they don't miss out. Anyone who misses the meeting can catch up by watching a replay of the meeting via the same web address.
