Clair Hawkins launches campaign against 40% Super Peak fare hikes
Clair said: "Tory-led Government plans to introduce Super Peak Rail Fares, buried in their Fares and Ticketing Review, could increase the cost of high-peak prices by 40% over five years. Most people don't have a choice over when they start work so it won't ease overcrowding but would add to the cost of living pressures and real squeeze that most of us are feeling at the moment.

"This additional hike would follow David Cameron's broken promise to cap this year's rail fare rises and mean the misery for peak-time passengers is set to continue. That is why Dover & Deal Labour Party is campaigning against these plans and is calling on the out of touch Government to think again."
