Appeal for witnesses after body found on beach

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses who may have seen a man waiting at the cliff edge between Dover and St Margaret's at Cliffe on Monday afternoon (21 October 2013).

It follows the discovery of a man's body near the shore in St Margaret's Bay just before 2.30 pm on Monday.

Police believe the man is of Polish nationality and was living in London. His death is not being treated as suspicious but officers would like to hear from anyone who may have noticed a man on the cliff top at some time between 12 noon and 2.25 pm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Steve Mart on 101 quoting incident number 21-857.
