Appeal after youths steal artificial trees

An off-duty police officer in Ardent Road, Whitfield, at 6.35pm on Wednesday 20 February, intervened with two youths who were carrying flower pots and looked suspicious.

When the officer explained he was a police officer, the youths dropped the pots, which contained artificial trees, and ran off towards Antelope Close.

The items had been stolen from an address in Aspen Drive, Whitfield earlier that evening.

The youths are described as white males, aged between 15 and 18 years old, 5ft 10in tall. Both were wearing dark coloured clothing and hooded tops with the hoods up.
