Robin Dodridge, Director of Port Operations at the Port of Dover, has presented Carsten Jensen, Senior Vice President English Channel, of DFDS Seaways with a plaque in honour of the inaugural crossing from Dover to Calais of the 'Deal Seaways' which took place on Friday (27 April 2012).
The Deal Seaways is the second vessel to be launched this year by DFDS Seaways and LD Lines on this route.
On presenting the plaque Robin said: "We welcome the Deal Seaways to the Port of Dover and congratulate DFDS on having the vision to invest in cross-Channel ferry services based out of Dover and for seizing the opportunity to open the new route into Calais."
