Following the success of the Olympic Torch Relay events in Dover District last week, everyone is invited to join in with the celebrations for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Games, which will be showing on the Big Screen in Dover Market Square on Friday 27 July.
The spectacular ceremony will be broadcast live on the Big Screen in Dover from 9pm and promises to showcase the best of the nation. To get the party started there will be a 'Zumbathon' in the Market Square between 7pm and 8pm, led by Vista Leisure instructor Karen Palmer.
On Saturday 28 July, to support Team GB, the Amateur Swimming Association, Vista Leisure and local sports clubs will be promoting aquatic sports in the Market Square, where a limited number of Free Swim vouchers will be available, and there will be a chance to have your photo taken on an Olympic Podium.
