Community Safety Partnership funds free sports sessions

Thursday, 2 August 2012
Children and young people inspired by the London 2012 Games are invited to take part in free sports sessions running throughout the school holidays.

The Dover District Community Safety Partnership (CSP) has teamed up with PACE Training to provide the free sporting sessions. The sessions will give children and young people in the local area the opportunity to take part in a positive and healthy activity in a safe environment - whilst importantly having fun, learning new skills and making new friends.

Sessions are being held for two age groups at the Dover College Farthingloe sports field, Manor Road, Dover. The one hour sessions running every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7pm for 8 to 12-year olds and from 7pm to 8pm for those aged 13 years plus.

The sessions will be based around a multiple sports programme including cricket, football, touch rugby and athletics. All abilities are welcome - whether a beginner or keen sports player. Just turn up and join in.
