As part of ongoing work to make sure they are addressing key housing issues for the future of the district, Dover District Council has developed a new strategy - and your views are sought.

Community groups in Dover District looking for help with projects that can show benefit to the area are invited to apply for grants of up to £2,500 from the Dover District Neighbourhood Forums.

One hundred Rolls-Royce cars, aerial displays by The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight including wartime Spitfires and a Lancaster, and a fireworks display all feature in a great programme of free events on Dover Seafront on 5/6 June.

A special exhibition on cemetery provision in Dover and proposals for a preferred new site in the Elms Vale area is being held on Monday 24 May at the Ark, Noah's Ark Road, Dover from 3pm-8pm.

Major news is welcomed today that the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has announced 'first round' success for a massive £1.6m funding for partnership work to help conserve the landscape around the White Cliffs of Dover.

As part of the run up to 100th anniversary of the first non-stop return flight of the channel by CS Rolls, a special exhibition launches at Dover Museum on 31 May.

Local residents are invited to come along and have their say at the latest Neighbourhood Forum meeting being held at Dover Town on Thursday 3 June at Dover Town Council Offices from 6.30pm.

Feel Alive is back for 2010 and all the family is invited to come along and join in the fun with a fantastic range of free activities - with events kicking off this year on Sunday 6 June at Victoria Park in Deal from 10am to 4pm.
