Drug Takers' Haven Closed Down

Kent Police and the Dover District Community Safety Unit have responded to concerns about a disused property being used by drug takers.

Maison Dieu Lodge, a disused residential home in Dover had got in to a state of complete disrepair and generated a number of complaints from local residents about rough sleepers and drug use.

The property has now been securely boarded up with metal shutters and there have been no further reported problems.
