Be Prepared - Rainbows, Brownies And Guides Activity Day

Friday, 15 October 2010
A packed day of activities is coming to Dover Museum on Monday 25 October as part of the Museum's special new exhibition 'Be Prepared', celebrating 100 years of Girl Guiding in around Dover.

A whole range of activities includes the chance to make and decorate a door hanger, make a collage picture of a hand of friendship, or try a quiz or word-search based on the exhibition; the chance to draw artifacts, make a Roman-style mosaic, learn to write in Anglo-Saxon runes, or try the Victorian art of decoupage; and the opportunity to explore Dover Museum and the new 'Be Prepared' exhibition.

The exhibition runs from 8 October to 8 January 2011, and is being organised by Dover Museum with Dover Girl Guiding (South Foreland Division), as part of the centenary celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the Girl Guiding movement.

The activity day runs from 10am to 4pm. There is no extra charge for activities although normal admission rates to the Museum apply. Admission to Dover Museum is free to local residents.
