Register Of Electors

Thursday, 15 October 2009
Dover District Council is reminding residents that the annual canvass for the Register of Electors is currently taking place. Every property in the district has received a form for the Register of Electors that should be checked. If there are no changes to the registration form, you can use the freephone or internet registration service, which allows you to confirm all your household's details in a matter of minutes. The system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the registration period. Alternatively if changes are necessary the form should be altered where needed, signed and returned in the envelope provided. It is particularly important that you return your form promptly this year to ensure your vote at the forthcoming Parliamentary Election.

All British, Irish, European Union or qualifying Commonwealth citizens over the age of 16 are required to give their names and addresses so that they can be included on the register, which will be published by 1 December 2009.

If your property has not received a form, or you require further advice on the completion of the form, contact the Electoral Services Helpline on 01304 872344.
