Dover Town Centre Management To Close

Monday, 10 March 2008
The board of Dover Town Centre Management have decided, at their meeting on Friday 7th March, to close down the company, in view of the current financial situation and the fact that no significant funding from the public or private sectors is forthcoming. The company will be wound up on 31st March 2008.

The Board Members thanked all the core sponsors, members, volunteers and businesses for their most loyal and valued support, whilst the Board also thanked the management and staff of Town Centre Management, who by their hard work and dedication brought so many benefits to Dover.

Looking to the future, they welcome the crucial investment coming to Dover with the High Speed Rail Link, the re-development of Dover Priory station, the Dover Water Sports Centre on the sea-front, and the St.James' Development, and say that in the light of changes in local government and against the background of such planned investments, there is afforded the prospect of a real growth in prosperity within the town centre.
