World-famous actress Sophia Loren is in Dover this weekend to Christen a new cruise liner.
MSC Poesia arrived at the port today (Friday) ready for the spectacular event on Saturday evening which is being given the Royal seal of approval with the presence of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.
It is the first time that an MSC cruise liner has been Christened outside Italy and the ceremony will be witnessed by around 1,800 guests.
Entertainment will be provided by Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli and singer KT Tunstall, together with jazz musicians Peter Grant and the Ronnie Scott Orchestra.
With 13 passenger decks and 1,275 cabins, MSC Poesia can accommodate more than 3,000 passengers. They can while away their cruising hours by using on-board amenities such as two swimming pools, a theatre, cinema, casino, tennis court, spa and disco.
