Police Investigate Attempted Robbery In Market Square

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at Lloyds Bank in Market Square, Dover on Saturday morning. At 9.15 am, a cleaner working in the bank was confronted by two men, one of whom is believed to have had a handgun. She was ordered to sit in a back room while the men carried out a search of the bank, but fled empty handed. The offenders are described as:

A white man of stocky build, aged in his 20s or 30s, 5ft 11in tall, dressed all in black with a black coat, black trousers, black balaclava and black gloves.

And a thin man, 5ft 8 in tall who was wearing a light blue hooded top, balaclava, gloves and dark blue tracksuit bottoms, with pale blue trainers.
