Police Appeal For Witnesses Of Aggressive Act

Tuesday, 24 July 2007
Police are appealing for witnesses who would have been in the area of Pencester Park, Dover at lunchtime on Tuesday 17 July who may have seen a 23-year-old woman being approached by a man aged in his late teens or early 20s who was part of a group playing cricket. It is alleged the man took a swipe at her with a cricket bat which didn't touch the victim, but was considered an aggressive act.

The incident happened at 12.30 pm and the offender is described as white, of average build, with blonde hair and very spotty cheeks. He was wearing a navy blue sleeveless t-shirt, dark coloured trousers and trainers. An 18-year-old man was arrested and has been released on bail until 13 August while officers make further enquiries.
