New E-Service Launched - Sign Up To Help The Environment

Monday, 20 August 2007
An exciting new e-service has been launched and residents are being invited to sign up to save paper with emails for benefit notifications, Council Tax bills, and a range of other documents from Dover District Council.

The service has been launched on the DDC website as part of our ongoing commitment to deliver modern and effective services and to protect the environment for the future. Sign Me Up is the new electronic service from Dover District Council, which means that, where possible, we will send you emails rather than write with a range of information.

The sign up register notes that not all services can be communicated in this way at this time, and some documents can not, by law, be sent electronically.

Cllr Stephen Manion, Cabinet Member for Corporate Resources and ICT said: "We are working hard to provide the latest services and save natural resources, and this register will help save time, paper and money. We are very pleased to be launching this new service and we hope as many people as possible will be saying 'Sign Me Up'."

For more information, or to sign up for the service, please see the Council website at www.dover.gov.uk/signmeup.
