Moving Forward For The Future - Mutual Exchange Scheme Goes Live

Thursday, 22 November 2007
A new on-line service to help move forward for the future with mutual Council House exchanges has been launched by Dover District Council. This is part of their ongoing commitment to e-Government, and to provide effective, modern and quality services.

Existing tenants of Councils and Housing Associations have a right to exchange homes with other Council and Housing Association tenants. The Council holds a list of tenants interested in exchanging their home with other tenants. The new system means tenants can apply online to go on the Mutual Exchange Register, and can apply for regular updates of the Register to be emailed directly to them.

Cllr Stephen Manion, DDC Cabinet Member for Corporate Resources and ICT said: "We continue to work hard to provide quality modern services, and to develop on-line solutions through our acclaimed website. On-line solutions help improve services while reducing costs and saving natural resources. This new service provides a fast, effective way for tenants to register and keep up to date with the Mutual Exchange Scheme."
