Maintenance work to improve safety for road users on the A20 Limekiln Viaduct will start on Wednesday, 11 April and is due to be completed by September.
The work involves resurfacing and waterproofing the A20 Viaduct to help protect it against the weather. This will ensure both the long-term maintenance and durability of the Viaduct for the safety of road users.
The work will take place off-peak between 9.30am and 4pm daily in two phases. Phase 1 will run from Wednesday, 11 April to Wednesday, 2 May. Phase 2 will run from Monday, 3 September to Wednesday, 19 September. During these dates there will be a single lane closure of the Viaduct to provide a safe working area.
Temporary traffic lights will control traffic flows during the work. For the safety of roadusers and the workforce, a convoy vehicle will lead traffic through the work.
