Dover's new fast food outlet Subway formally opened recently, and DCAL's Miss Dover Cloe Atkins was in attendance to cut the traditional ribbon.
Subway Franchise Owner, Yonas Gebremichael said he was delighted to be opening in Dover and supported this statement by sponsoring part of the cost of bringing the Millennium Allstars to this year's Dover Carnival.
DCAL Director Sid Perkins said: "There are real synergies between DCAL and Subway, particularly in the areas of quality, branding, and approach to the local community. It is all the more pleasing to note, that within weeks of arriving in Dover, Subway has given sponsorship for a band to take part in Dover Carnival and entered the event themselves. We hope this sets a standard for other businesses in town. We are delighted and proud to have Subway as one of our sponsors and look forward to working with Yonas and his team throughout the coming year."
