Community Safety Day

Tuesday, 17 July 2007
A range of activities and displays for all the family can be seen at Pencester Gardens, Dover on Saturday 21 July, from 10am to 3pm, as part of a packed Community Safety Day. The event has been organised by the Dover District Community Safety Partnership, including Kent Police and Dover District Council.

There will be a mini show ground with displays from the Ghurkha Regiment, Kent Fire and Rescue Service, and Kent Police. More than 30 other agencies involved in community safety will also be exhibiting, including Clean Kent, Kent Police Authority, RNLI, Kent County Council and Dover District Council. DDC representatives will include members of the Community Safety, Parking Services and Waste Services teams.

Nadeem Aziz, Chairman of the Dover Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, said: "We are looking forward to the opportunity to show our community how the partnership works and what we can do to make our district an even safer place. We hope as many people as possible take the opportunity to attend the event. The DCDRP also takes the opportunity to congratulate Kent Police on 150 years of serving the Kent community."
