Road works are due to be carried out at Melbourne Avenue, Dover, on Monday night (9 October).
The aim of the scheme is to reduce the number of crashes in Melbourne Avenue as vehicles approach the give way line at the junction with Honeywood Parkway.
Work is due to start at 7pm on Monday and should be completed by 6am on Tuesday, depending on the weather conditions, and will involve applying high-friction surfacing and altering the existing road markings, at a cost of £5,000.
The northbound approach of Melbourne Avenue onto Honeywood Parkway will need to be closed to enable the works to be carried out, but access to/from Melbourne Avenue will be maintained by controlling the junction with three-way manual Stop/Go control, and sending traffic on the other side of the Melbourne Avenue junction.
