Hmmm
One could write a book on political surrealism.
The frantic and desperate promises made prior to an election, and what became of them the day after.
Satire I believe it is called.
Does being a mayor give one the right to plant an orchard in the Garden of England?
One of my aspirations is to be able to plant at least one orchard on our Kentish Land and tend to the trees and harvest the fruit, and perhaps sell some for a modest income.
I've always noted that digging and hoeing soil keeps me fit, which is why I'd like some vegetable plots too.
Politicians call this a four letter word spelled WORK, and would keep a thousand miles away from it. Or make it impossible.
Once upon a time it was considered a basic right.
If I'm not mistaken, nowadays everyone goes to university and becomes a banker....
Now back to my Medieval Occitanian music.

If you like digging and hoeing Alexander and planting vegetables, there is an allotment behind the CAWCA Hall in Belgrave Road that have spaces available - and pretty cheap.

An allotment is not enough to live off, Roger.
And I wanted to plant orchards and supply the produce.
I've always been of the opinion that the economy is based on appreciation of nature and the will to work as one would like to in order to provide sustenance to society..

It's simple Reginald - all economic activity can eventually be traced back to things that are harvested from the land, caught from the sea, or dug up - natural products.
Stop acquiring those and the economy stops.

I get that, but that's hardly appreciating it, more like rape and pillage!!!
I look out the window and appreciate nature, but I'm still skint, do you think I'm doing it wrong?
