surprised to see paul carter not being open on this one, he has been openly critical of his own government before when he thought something was wrong.

At last, a report that skewers Iain Duncan Smith's welfare policies
We Are Spartacus releases its 'almanac of condemnation', a devastating critique of welfare reforms backed with case studies
Today Iain Duncan Smith is being questioned by the Commons work and pensions committee on universal credit, after finally admitting last week that the scheme's targets had been "reset". Last week, the petition calling for a cumulative impact assessment of the way welfare reform affects sick and disabled people, known as the WOW petition, passed 100,000 signatures, triggering its consideration for debate by the backbench business committee. To add to Duncan Smith's woes, the well-respected Centre for Welfare Reform has released details of its report, How Norms Become Targets, which exposes the myth that Atos, the private company responsible for assessing the needs of people unable to work, does not do so on the basis of targets.

atos say that they merely do the assessments and that the dept for work and pensions make the final decisions.
i don't actually believe that as they would only have the contract renewed if they wielded the axe thus saving the government money.

Keef, you are getting boring...Is that all can say is Allowances......Now any comment about Atos being employed since 2009 by Labour and Con/libdem governments to crack down on disabled claimants?? I think it is a scandal that genuine disabled claimants are targeted by a French company whose sole aim is to improve the profits of Atos!

i remember when the scottish chap decided he would cut the benefits bill and asked his cabinet who would be the the best people to run the scheme..
the general consent was that they needed a company that did not give atos about the sick and disabled - the rest is history.

You speak for the electorate Howard, thats interesting,,,,,,,,
Will repeat, a leaflet went out by UKIP stating they would sort out allowances once in, instead they voted to increase it
they would have gained a lot of support on that leaflet
then sold out

Keef, why don't you take it up with the opposition leader at KCC instead of boring us all stiff on here? You are getting like a cracked old 78 record.

The thread is,the effect of the benefit cuts....So far I have not heard any concerns or goodwill about claimants from Keith S..There are people in this area who live day to day worrying about if they have enough money to live on but no response from Keith on this important issue.....All the threads on the Dover Forum have a particular theme...Mr Sansum does not seem to understand that..Dover Forum is not the Keith Sansum show.
