At a national level, it looks as though you can choose between parties for Brexit, against Brexit, and let's have another think about Brexit.
How has our democracy come to this? Why oh why is there no party representing the 12.9 million whose view is "Well, I didn't think Brexit was very exciting in the first place"?

Momentum 1 - Labour 0
Tom Watson resigns from Labour. The final Brownite at the top has officially left. The party is now completely dominated by the far Left Fascists.

But it wasn’t the choice that the remainers wanted so it’s now gone to consternation!

From the FT.
Several Labour MPs and officials are suggesting more figures might follow Tom Watson.
One figure close to the shadow cabinet says: "Have been told there expecting more to followed in staged departures from the “moderate” wing of the party to try and stop us winning."

It's genuinely alarming how many decent politicians are fleeing the middle ground - we really are being pulled to the extremes of the left and right.

Mm. If by 'decent', NM, you mean denying democratic decisions, concentrating wealth in fewer hands, supporting foreign dictatorships, belonging to globalist blocs, etc. then the truly alarming thing is that these domestic and foreign policy behaviours have come to be so normalised that any dissenter is regarded as an extremist. The 'middle ground' is simply a conjunction of ideologies; reality is somewhere outside of this.

I wonder how many of those not seeking re-election are going because they no longer want to be a MP and how many have been pushed out, however gently that may be.
I watched long time Labour man Ian Austin on BBC Breakfast this morning, he definitely hates Corbyn with a passion.

If Charlie's campaign is based out of 54 The Strand, this means he is the Tory Candidate, right? As they are funding him. This must also mean no official Tory candidate as if there were, that candidate would be operating out of 54 The Strand. I've no idea what the funding rules are - but assume they'll have looked into the technicalities.

jan you didn't mention Boris's brother is leaving because he doesn't support his own brothers policies!!

That is obvious I just wondered how many were leaving out of choice, I expect it is the majority.
Regarding your second point, I have not seen him on news programmes running the Tory leader down and I do not really care who is leaving as probably most of them should have gone a while ago and will not be missed.

My expectation is that the Tory party politburo in London will have problems with a) Charlie standing as a Tory b) not having an official Tory candidate in such a key and iconic constituency and c) an independent candidate openly using the local party office. So therefore the dirty tricks department will have their thinking caps on.
The result will probably be that they will string Charlie along until the last minute, suddenly substituting a centrally chosen candidate as the official Tory. Nobody (including Charlie or the local Tories) will know who it is until the nominations are announced. It will then be too late for Charlie’s local supporters to submit a nomination as an independent. Game set and match to the Tory strategists.

Just found this, in view of Pablo's post he better get his candidate papers in quick if he has not already done so.
