Meanwhile 'our' Charlie was practising looking confident (but NOT smug) as advised by his minders!
And he'd 'left his wallet at home' -
again!
(Oddly he asked me for the receipt for the round, and when I asked him why, just said 'it's a little trick I picked up from my mate Craig' - and winked.

I've downgraded my original projections and am now going for a Tory 85 seat majority. More than enough to give them a working majority but I fear not enough to force Corbyn's resignation.

My guess is that if the under 35s turn out in force the majority could be as low as 50, could be a shock in Scotland with the SNP losing seats to the Tories.

Oi, get your feet off the chairs!
Some time ago I posted that the worst thing that could happen would be for Labour to lose, but not quite as badly as anyone thought and enough for Corbyn to stay on. However, he, and his team, have run a very good campaign indeed. People like the manifesto. It rather begs the question, if they could be so competent now, why did it take so long to reach this point?
Regardless, I am not so sure now that Corbyn, or at least his ideas, need to go. They are on to something and need to continue building for the future. My prediction, Labour will make huge gains in the cities, but that will be irrelevant in terms of Parliamentary seats. They then need to carry this (genuine) momentum into the Brexit phase as sure as eggs are eggs, the Tories will tear themselves to pieces during that process....

But they won't turn out in force, they never do.
What you mean is you "hope" they turn out in force, at least be honest.

Yep but you chose to work in River not the deprived areas, which River has never been.
Why didn't you stand in St Rads?

River has it crime just like other places last year there was 125 crimes done and one was a armed one at the CO-OP and in its parks at nights it is a nice place to live and I feel lucky to live there but it is over rated in my way of thinking.

David. I worked at St Radigunds school for two years hearing children read then I was asked to be a governor which I was for ten years six as Chairman.Along with many others I fought to keep the school open a battle which was won .
I have helped. Many people in St Radigunds in fact they thought I was their Councillor.
When I was on the cabinet I held the post which dealt with housing.
I don't agree with Vic River is a lovely place and it is still sought after as A place to live ,the school is excellent and we have a very good church community both Methodist and CE.Parks on our doorstep bus service and train station.
Trees everywhere and most people look after their properties.Yes we do have the odd crime but thats because they think we have loads of money to rob us of.

If Charlie had a 6000 majority in the last election, why is he considered to be at risk?
UKIP got 10000 votes then, would have thought most would go to the tories?

Didn't get my polling card through for the first time ever - oddly no tellers on my polling station so there will be people running around this evening knocking on doors trying to ensure everyone has voted.

He's not considered to be at risk by anybody except deluded Labour supporters.
I like Stacey, I hope the campaign doesn't damage her the way it has others, politics is brutal and personal.

I have heard several reports this campaign of Charlie being rude and arrogant. Strange given the context!

You vote for a person to represent you locally. If you voted for Charlie then you only have yourself to blame. A strongly worded email won't change the fact that he is an arrogant little ****.
