She won't do it and I can quite easily see Amber Rudd getting the better of Corbyn. The difference in the polls will then extend in favour of the Cons. It's a risky strategy from Labour and you never know it may pay off. We'll see.

I think they will all ignore Rudd - that would be the best way to highlight May's absence. They need to remind the audience that May is not there at every turn, not just get locked into a debate with Rudd as you might just be right, Paul.

The PM is asking us to trust her in negotiations with a group representing 20 odd nations but she doesn't trust herself to take on on Jezza for an hour or so with people watching.

I have a piece of stilton in the fridge that could get the better of Corbyn in a debate.
May can't change her mind on the debate now, as all the press will want to talk about I another u turn.

The Tories HQ are reliant on not many people watching but the media will make a lot of her not attending.

Have been watching the bookies odds since the start of the campaign and initially it was even money for the Tories to get an overall majority of 205, over the past two weeks that has whittled down on almost daily basis by small amounts. The latest figure is now 100 with a week of campaigning to go.

And there was me thinking it was a General Election where we base our vote on which party we think is best to lead the country rather than some sort of edition of Britain's Got Talent laid on to entertain us all as there's not much on on the other channels and we get bored thinking about 'hard stuff' like economics, education or defence.

The current administration refuse to comment on any serious subject, merely talking about "Brexit" and pointing at Corbyn. The electorate would be interested to know funding plans for schools, police, defence and one or two are interested in the NHS. We are told that rises in taxes, VAT and NI are not ruled out!!
Never seen Britain's got talent so I have no idea whether Cruella or Jezza have performed on it.

For me this is a single issue general election - Brexit. Unfortunately, whilst I can understand that the outcomes of aspects that have to be negotiated are unclear, I'm hearing absolutely nothing (including from our constituency candidates), about what the aspects on which the UK can decide unilaterally will look like. I find this extremely troubling.

Frankly Amber Rudd standing in for Theresa May is neither here nor there.
The idea of Flabbott replacing Rudd as Home Secretary however seriously frightens me and should frighten anyone who thinks national security important.

Usual negative stuff along the lines of "if you think my party is bad look at the alternative". Does anyone really believe that Abbott would be anywhere near a cabinet post in the unlikely scenario of Labour leading a hing Government. Corbyn's old loyalties will go out of the window if he gets anywhere near power.

I don't know one way or the other and don't have a crystal ball, so the question seems to me: do you want to run the risk?

Judging by the previous Home Secretary now PM it doesn't seem a job to live up to. 6 years of lying about immigration numbers, lying that frontline policing would not be affected by budget cuts and also leaving many prisons run by the inmates. Not forgetting she let in 30 year olds with unchecked records in as child refugees.
