If you don't vote Mr Matcham, what interest do you have in contributing to the Politics Forum? Meant genuinely.

There are those who say David Cronk has been elected ................. but history is usually (re)written by the victor?
The Town Clerk has received a query from a councillor regarding the voting procedure held at the meeting of the council on 22 May 2017.
It is understood that although no councillor raised a point of order at the time some members are worried that due process was not followed.
It is usual practice to follow the voting on appointments procedure as detailed in the standing orders, however as Cllr Burnham indicated to me that she would not be accepting the nomination for her to stand as Mayor, and no councillor raised their hand or spoke at the meeting to indicate there were any other nominations I moved straight on with the next agenda item.
Please note that the standing order for nominations is not statutory and is not a legal requirement.
It was my understanding that all members at the meeting realised this and as no query was made were happy for the meeting to proceed.
Taking the above facts into account and legal advice from KALC I will not be calling a special meeting to retake a vote.
If you require further clarification please let me know.

Been following the two main campaigns on social media and the thing that stands out for me is that the Labour posts and those from Stacey all show photos of the campaign team. Charlie is alone without a Tory group on said media and his photos only show him pictured with a member of the proletariat that voted Labour or UKIP last time but have now seen the light. Does he campaign on his own or is it that his supporters are too ashamed to be photographed with him?

Sorry to hear about Charlie getting ringworm, he should get that stuff I used on the cat but someone has to put it on the back of his neck so that he can't lick it off.

#679 I don't recommend those dog collars to anyone. They make for a very mundane Monday confessional.

Yet it is so much easier to project one's voice.
If only Deal Town Councillors had been issued with these they would not be investing in a sound system which would have worked at Woodstock.
