I must have asked Michael Howard 14 times to own up to the preposterousness of that statement, but the silly man insists he found it in an empty rhetoric bin in Shepway.

In which 'our' Charlie finally comes off the fence (but gets down on the wrong side).
Boris Johnson has Dover MP Charlie Elphicke's backing for Prime Minister

Hi Button
You indicate prison works but really not so sure that's the case
Prison by many are not feared because you can prob come out more hardened than when you went in.
Looking at boot camps etc has a lot going for them
. We have the added issue that prisons are over full and what next
So we are seeing now more minor offences no longer go that route
But often small crimes work up to bigger crimes
Then we have police saying they won't come out to shoplifting crimes under a certain figure
Understandable in the scale of things
In policing but the bigger picture is something we all need to address
Slowly society is looking towards do gooders but is slowly bringing society down

Just like the majority of MPs with delusions of grandeur, regardless of party or popularity. Politicians are very clever with their words then they wonder why we no longer trust anything that they say.

For example: "Good to hear confirmation today that the UK is in good shape to leave, deal or no deal" - Mr Elphicke commenting on a BBC report of what the Cabinet Secretary said. Which was somewhat different: "We have got the government in pretty good shape and public services in pretty good shape for it [a 'no-deal' scenario]". Ah, so not the UK then actually.

Haven't a scoobie, Mr D; it was my grandma who told fortunes, but alas we use teabags. I'd like to think it would be soonish, after a Transition Period, but I'm beginning to think that it'll coincide with the final episode of Coronation Street.

Dissembling. Evasive. Cynical. Jejune. Vain. ('And many other last names.') The cream of an elite education system? They couldn't win a primary school debate. Lead a country? The couldn't lead a pack of cubs.
Well, they are the positives. I couldn't see any negatives.

Of course they are, they are career politicians like far to many in Westminster of all parties.

Ah, but they're all very much in touch with those who created today's globalist nightmare: bourses, banks, spooks, arms manufacturers, media conglomerates, you name it. Politics is just a maintenance service for those real powers that be; democracy is a thaumaturgy that's hoodoo'd us into believing we're in control.

So it will be either Boris or Jeremy, heaven help us but I suspect whoever wins will not be in no.10 for long unless the Tories have a sudden surge of popularity.

It'll be Boris, as long as he keeps his mouth shut between now and the vote!

Some pointless information: the bookies have got it right with Tory leaders on just one occasion in eight attempts since 1965: Michael Howard.

I assume the neighbour who called the police and then leaked a simple domestic argument to the Guardian is not a Boris fan.
