FWIW
Well said Dave!
At least the local Tories are willing to put up with freethinkers like Walkden, Bond and Frost who on occasion find themselves unable to support the 'party line'.
It would be lovely to see more conviction politicians and fewer politicians with convictions!

Walkden Bond and Frost are much closer to the grassroots than those in the Westminster Bubble.

I don't doubt that Peter, so why do they obsequiously follow the party?
I don't know frost, I suspect captain haddock does, but bond and Walkden need to do some soul searching, along with the other sheep.
Cameron is pro EU, anti grammar schools, soft on crime, pro wind farms, I could go on.
Why on earth do you Tories support this sham of a party? I know you're reading and don't expect an answer, but man up and vote with your feet.
In fact I'll lay down a gauntlet:
Watty, Garstin, haddock/frost, Walkden, any other sheep out there, give us a reason to vote for you.

Oi, I am not among them and I am not asking anyone to vote for me. I am happy to criticise anyone in office or aspiring to it. Particularly the Tories.
Baaaa.

Glad to see you disassociate yourself Peter. I hope you don't fall in to the sycophantic habit of voting for them.
What a shambles of a party they are, district, county, national, they've forgotten what they stand for. It's no wonder they're going to finish 3rd in the euros.

And David, I am nobody's sycophant. As a politician, if you want my support you will have to work for it. And I support candidates not parties.

Peter, I have to work for every vote I'm acutely aware of that. There's tens of thousands up for grabs, I'm starting from zero.
The thing is with our system, right or wrong, every vote equals the same.
That's why UKIP are delighted that so many Tory cllrs are voting for them.
