We are living in strange times indeed.

If that poll was/is accurate then it would show that the Tories peaked perfectly for the 2017 GE. Whilst it favours Labour, and I am somewhat partisan, it needs taking with a generous pinch of salt.
The wider debate should be, in my opinion, that the 2017 GE was the first time since many people's lifetime that the elite weren't competing for power with another version of the elite (like Schumpeter's 1940s Competitive Elite model); it was the first time in which the elite were genuinely rivaled by a credible alternative. Let's not forget that the Labour Party manifesto was built by the members and relevant stakeholder unions/affiliates and not done to them. Oh, it was the only costed manifesto too.

That's very early for a Murdoch press tailspin panic. Whilst I lament the demise of quality journalism (though I would never put The S*n in that bracket in the first place), isn't it good to see the self-appointed elite being challenged? At last, we have a situation where the House of Commons can be filled with people that meet the criteria of being 'common' (i.e. the people and NOT the unopposed 'elites'). Canterbury's Julian Brazier had an air of job for life then along comes a re-galvinised local Labour party with active members all working to change the most historically Tory seat in Kent for the better. They appoint a parliamentary candidate from the people, a Teaching Assistant, Rosie Duffield. It is little wonder that the billionaire non-domicile press barons are concerned.

Can you substantiate Your claim that the change in Canterbury is for the better or is that just a politically biased opinion?

Both! However, you are right...the proof will be in the pudding. In the meantime, the significant swing (20.5%) in favour of Labour despite marginal increase in vote (1.8% improvement) for the Tory status quo shows that people wanted better.

There is a saying that might be applicable here but I doubt we will not know how true until the next General Election.
A change is as good as a rest.

The field work was done straight after the PM was being feted in the media for her handling of talks with the EU. Once all that unravels so will her lead.

The same pollsters gave the Tories a one point lead over Labour at the same time but having checked with the bookies just now Labour remain slight favourites to have most seats at the next General Election.

Shrewd of Jezza to move the focus away from Brexit as he and his party don't really know what they want yet.

Jezza speaks:-

And on allegations of sexual harassment? 'We support the people making them as well as the people being alleged against.’
I suppose that's a bit like Labour support those in favour of Brexit as well as those opposed to Brexit?
