#1119, how are they doing that, Reg?
If you are so against private involvement in health care, I trust you have taken all possible steps to ensure that your pension provider has made no investments from which you benefit and of which you would disapprove. This would of course include pharmaceutical and medical supply companies.
Remember your GP's surgery is a private commercial enterprise being paid to provide services to the NHS.

To be fair this debate will go on,
there are those that believe the only way forward is to go total private, people pay (sod those that cant)
others believe NHS should be free and do every type of work
There is other ways, and we do need to give it thought, All services cannot be provided in every single hospital, It just couldnt be funded.
This debate will go on,,,,,

Capable of 'work-related activity': Partially blind Thalidomide victim with brain tumour fights Atos decision to force
her to attend interviews and put together CV
A Thalidomide victim with a brain tumour who is blind in one eye and has trouble walking is battling against
a decision by Atos that she is capable of "work related activity".
Martine White, 50, is due to appear at a tribunal in which she will appeal against the decision which she fears could force her to
take employment or face losing up to half of her benefits.
The mother of four from Burnley, Lancashire, is one of a number of victims of the morning sickness drug which left more than
500 people in Britain with severe birth defects who claim they are being unfairly treated by the Government's controversial back-
to-work assessors.

When ATOS fees, appeal costs, back payments and all the other costs that are incurred are taken into account I wonder how much money will actually be saved.

Brian, the NHS will never be abolished despite the scare stories put about by people who should know better.
Reg states that Cameron has abolished the NHS, I'm always puzzled why people say such errant nonsense.

You tell me Keith.
Come on Keith get off the fence and make a prediction, Cameron has 2 years left - will we recognise the NHS then?
And if labour win in 2015 what will they do?
