I doubt the palestinians are impressed by the old testament, most live by the final testament which i don't believe promises land to anyone.

This is a modern-day playing-out of the David and Goliath story. Goliath was a Philistine (Palestinian) from Gath, nowadays known in English as Gaza. David was the symbolic Israelite who overcame the mighty Goliath with more sophisticated weaponry.

#43, yes Vic, we must remember there are casualties on both sides. since July 8th, Gaza death toll over 1,000 - Israeli toll up to 42 plus about 5,870 Palestinians have also been wounded in the 19 days of fighting, health officials say. (up to 26 July)

And more Palistinians will die if Hamas keep sending rockets into Israel.

Even the United States is saying enough is enough, Israel will soon be a pariah on the world stage.

The end game one day will be similar to what happened in Sri Lanka
The Israelis will commit genocide and the world will look the other

Odd how this particular conflict keeps dropping out of the news. Has it all been resolved, or just surpressed.
I'll bump it back up.

I undertood they had agreed on a cease-fire and are now willing to talk on a permanent one. The borders have opened in a restricted way, but the big problem (as I see it) is Hamas, who have openly said they do not recognise the State of Israel and want to annhialate them - which will never happen.
The people of Gaza would have much more security and peace if they got rid of Hamas.

That's the problem Brian.
Israel is a proper State, Hamas are people who are supposed to be governing the Gza strip, but are actually keeping those Palistinians there in a state of fear - if the people of Gaza remove Hamas, they'll remove the fear.
