On the political arena we will never agree barryw
Just a small point on brians comment
looking at the threads there are 5 political threads on the first two pages thats of 50 threads
so can't see how politics dominates.
But I have been here before

But these political threads run to nearly 2000 posts while most others (Where is it? excepted) fizzle out after a few dozen.

Peter
Over time (some) posters have said they are fed up of all the politics
I have said before the forum is made up of many threads including politics
but just counting the threads this morning shows that those that say the forum is dominated by politics is incorrect
And yes peter, those same people who say they hate politics then make many political points, or continue to post on it.

Reg - says it all about the credibility (or rather lack of) of what you say on the forum. Bit of an admission that.

Shock fall in Services Sector.
Fall in activity in this dominant economic sector raises fears the UK could face triple-dip recession as economists predict the
UK will be stripped of its triple-A credit rating.

Reg
It appears there are two sides to the economists thinking
one side thinks by losing the status will make no difference to the govt
whilst the other feels it will deeply affect the Govt

Economists / Accountants will never agree.....they are always split down the middle....but if / when it occurs it will be a major

I do realise that Osbourne based his credibility on keeping the triple A

Osborne based his calculations on:
officers and their ladies
sergeants and their wives
tin-soldiers and their women
in other words: us 'n 'em.

Tomorrow morning Cameron`s Child Benefit cut hits over one million families .
It is one of the next 80 % of this Governments cuts that will target 90 % of our population .
This time it is the so called `middle classes `in the future the remainder of the 80 % cuts it will involve all working
people,unemployed,vulnerable and disabled again.
While `we`take the brunt of the cuts Cameron ignores the revenue,we desperately need, available from the `elite` rich, the big
corporations, the tax evaders and tax avoiders.
The Child Benefit cut is regarded by `all and sundry` to be ill-conceived,impracticable and unfair....

Whilst the benefits system needs sorting it looks like a lot of people are goingtgo get caught up in the net
Yes Reg whilst the poorer are expected to do there bit, the richer still swan along uncaring
maybe that forms part of why I feel we need a more caring/fair govt

"Whilst the benefits system needs sorting..."
Who says? And in what way?
It strikes me that what we have is 'a necessary evil' [there does seem to be quite a few of them too]
Why is it that we concentrate upon the 'evil' bit and leave the 'necessary' unaddressed?

We agree again, Keith. The only people who think the benefits system is just fine are those benefitting from it unfairly.
