Tax avoidance is one of the reasons why we have had such high budget deficits over the years, and consequently a high Public Debt.
The Coalition has cottoned on to this, and is clamping down.
Disguised Remuneration is a form of paying bonuses and hand-shakes to employees into off-shore tax-havens.
The Inland Revenue is catching up with them.
The days of "the world is a tiny global village for us speculators" is coming to an end.

Fortunately the coalition has also cottoned to the major reason for the deficits - historic and excessive public spending during the years of (relative) prosperity when the government ought to have been running a fiscal surplus.

Keith, the Government and the Taxman are on the case, so be assured, plenty of unpaid tax will be streaming into the Treasury.

Well, Keith, then we must keep up the pressure, and keep asking the Government to clamp down decisively on the well-off and the rich avoiding tax.
The more people speak up, the more they will listen.

Nope, Keith! The Coalition are desperate to get up in poll rating, they won't simply go without a fight.
If they know that by doing the right and just thing, people will cheer them on, they will be more encouraged to go ahead and do it.
We must cheer Gov. on when they do what is right and just, and let them know we are behind their decision.
We must remind Dave we are all in this together, he likes knowing this, he'll be pleased to hear it!

Many big businesses have clever accountants who find ways not to pay tax, so the small businesses are taxed till the squeak.
There should be a case for stopping/plugging all the loop-holes and get the money that is due from so many large corporations.

Elite greedy pigs are worldwide,China`s Premier Wen Jiabao has a fortune of £ 1.67 billion
His son, daughter, brother and wife have vast fortunes in banking, jewelry, telecoms and property
His 90 year old mother holds a £ 75 million stake in finance companies......wonder if they avoid
taxes as well ? A major problem for the new Chinese leadership is the widening rich, poor gap
and the public unrest that is already simmering......

one of the problems they face is labour shortage which forces wage rates up. they drag people from the countryside into toans and cities to do menial/dirty/dangerous jobs and treat them as untouchables. resentment is festering.

don't think it is an old story keith, previous allegations were made against offshots of hsbc, not hsbc themselves.
i am ready to be corrected if i am wrong.
