In my opinion Tony Blair has made a serious error of judgement.
He has assisted Glenmore Boss Ivan Glasenberg in his take-over of Xstrata.
His fee was reported to be £ One million for three hours work at a `Claridges`table..
Glenmore and Xstrata both deal in food commodities supplies at times of Starvation
and death..............

What was meant with that, Keith, is that T. Blair became the leader of the Labour party, but has nothing Socialist in his actions, neither the way he led Britain into bankruptcy, nor the way he charges payments for his "advice" or "counselling".
He's the biggest joke that ever happened to common people, someone disguised as a Socialist..

It was this sort of bank-trading that brought many banks into insolvency in 2008.
The money they want to make has to come from somewhere, so the more a banker reaps in profits through investments, the more money is being siphoned out of the economy.
There has to be a line between what is a fair profit, and what is a rip-off.
Bankers that are bonus-inspired will oftentimes try to rip off the economy to channel large profits into banks, so as to reap a million+ bonus ev'ry year.
This particular banker still hadn't realised that the real economy has nothing to do with pre-2008 antics. Many top bankers still don't want to realise it, no matter how much we explain to them how the real economy works.

This geezer must have believed in the bull-shine that if you have lots of money at your disposal, you can make lots of money from it.
But the money has to come from somewhere, usually from businesses and customers in general. Banking institutions, individuals in general, cannot become rich without making others become poor.
This geezer seems a victim of the closet he was part of, and it somehow backfired - again!!!
Like a 2008 repetition.
Some closets just don't want to learn, no matter how much even governments try to explain it away to them. Sigh!

' individuals in general, cannot become rich without making others become poor.'
Alex, who has been made poor by the likes of Richard Branson, Alan Sugar, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, David Beckham, Elton John and countless other businessmen (i.e. employers), sporting personalities and entertainers becoming rich? Are we the poorer for having iPhones and Windows? Are we bankrupt because football clubs, sportswear sponsors and TV networks have given lots of money to the England soccer team? I think not.
Of all the eccentric statements you have made on the forum, I think that takes the cake.

Peter.
' individuals in general, cannot become rich without making others become poor.'
That is true.
However.
' poor individuals in general, can make the rich become richer'
