This is the reason why we are still paying for their booze......cut the networking crap
'Toffishness and twittishness' - Boris Johnson spills beans on Bullingdon Club and reveals childhood ambition to be 'world king'
Boris Johnson still greets fellow members of the Bullingdon Club, the notorious Oxford drinking society whose alumni include
David Cameron and George Osborne, with a cry of "Buller, Buller, Buller!", the Mayor of London has revealed.
Johnson breaks the strict code of "omerta" surrounding the Club, which is dominated by Etonians and only open to the wealthy
and well-connected, in a new BBC profile, which explores his Prime Ministerial ambitions.
Writing in Radio Times, Michael Cockerell, the veteran political film-maker, reveals that the documentary includes a scene in
which Johnson examines a famous photograph of himself, Cameron and other members of the "Buller" in their blue tailcoats
with white silk facings, mustard waistcoats and gold buttons.
"This is a truly shameful vignette of almost superhuman undergraduate arrogance, toffishness and twittishness," admits
Johnson. "But at the time you felt it was wonderful to be going round swanking it up. Or was it? Actually I remember the dinners
being incredibly drunken."

mmm 'networking crap' Reg?
Over £80k generated for me through networking this year alone... crap eh!!!
It works - for MPs too in looking after constituent interests, it is a vital element in business and politics,
If we want real crap then we need to look at the class bigotry that is in so many of your posts.

#2486: Brian, it takes one to know one....

Actually Boris is probably the cleverest man at the top end of the Tory party right now, and the only one with a cat in hell's chance of getting a majority at the next GE.

Not how I read it Howard, I've already told Keith to be careful what he wishes for. Cameron is a liability but labour are terrified of Boris, just ask Red Ken.

people struggle to heat there homes
find the dosh for there next meal
whilst this guy gets £15million pocket money
well in victorian days maybe i should be happy
hopefully we dont want to go back to those dreary days
is ed balls correct in saying the rich should be taxed more
rather than hitting the poor
he also said he agrees on the help for small business's
but house building is a problem for the cobbled together govt.
he also stated mr osbourne stated his credibility on keping the triple a status and would get borrowing down
failing on both
not realy looking good

Rich Ricci profile: most of those blamed for the credit crisis have gone to ground, but not this Barclays investment banker
Share and share alike - or not. It was business as usual for one of Barclays' bosses
He's become the poster child for the excesses of the investment banking industry.
Rich Ricci (the name is just too perfect) courted national infamy when, on the day of another austerity Budget,
Barclays revealed that it had handed its investment banking chief £17.6m in shares, all of which were sold.
It wasn't the first time Ricci had found himself at the centre of a storm. The revelation came
barely a week after one of the flamboyantly dressed banker's horses lined up at the Cheltenham Festival under the name
"fatcatinthehat".
That undiplomatic moniker was actually suggested by his wife Susannah - in whose colours
the beast ran to a disappointing 18th place in the Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle - after seeing
a headline about her husband in the media.
