Bob
I don't feel you should comment on how people look (r Sawbridge)
Without first looking at yourself
Getting back to election
I hope we will see some new blood on both councils and the 2 major parties lose seats to maybe wake them up
Good luck to all other candidates

Let's start with the Tory one.
"We want to regenerate Market Square with lights, a new fountain and an extended pedestrianised zone."
That was the town team and their bid has been rejected twice.
"And we are pushing for yet more bars, shops and restaurants along the new Marina Curve."
Yet more?

Howard
We have both seen a lot of elections over the years but this one has to be the most hardest to call
Locals are going all over social media saying don't vote tory or Labour which could have a big impact on the overall results
Labour wanting control of DDC and Dtc can't even find enough candidates
Then our buddy jumps from should be labour's safest seat to buckland had our Mr Mills heard a whisper he might not win in St rads?
On the other side clearly collor jumped before being pushed
And how nice to select him for a seat 2 miles from his home (someone did say the archer was in the ward so they might see collor)
What did they mean?
And I don't do politics Mr hannant going into seat probably to go out to pasture
Most still want to know why I palmer resigned as planning chair

I think this year's local elections will be a farce as far too many will use their Brexit opinions to influence how they vote instead of thinking about important local issues.

keith , not enough candidates for the election. dtc for instance there are 8 yes 8 people trying to grab your vote, 3 torys, 2 labour, 1 green and the rest are indies. as dor ddc, there are 7 candidates trying to grab your votr, there is 2 labour, 2 torys , 1 green and 3 indies.

look around the wards Brian
only 10 labour candidates for 18 seats
so some will candidates will get in unopposed
but you are lucky enough in your ward to have choice Brian

They didn't the Heritage lottery fund did.

They are correct Howard as they are the ones spending it, they might not be funding it but the money is in DDC coffers.
Sue you are aware that your property was once part of the Kearsney estate, wood and pasture land and if DDC had had its way the whole of kearsney would have been kearsney housing estate, luckily at the time the council was skint and the plans were later shelved.

There appears to be no change in Elms vale and Maxton
locals I speak to are voting against the2 major parties
and with a lib dem likely to take more votes off labour than tory
they could unseat the present labour councillor
letting the tory in through the back door splitting the vote

Both of your Cllrs are not standing this time Sue and bearing in mind Nick Dixon only attended 7 out of the 17 meetings he was scheduled to appear at someone from outside may do better.
